Waste Management Plant

Civitas has adopted the villages of Yenkepally and Jeevanguda both located in the Moinabad mandil. We have repaired their incinerator and provided them with a composting machine, We have also conducted several awareness sessions for the residents regarding how they should segregating wet and dry waste, this helps us make sure that waste is segregated at the source. This segregated waste is processed at the waste management plant we provided, and through composting is turned into fertile soil which we are giving to nearby farmlands. At these two villages our waste management plant recycles over 1000 kgs of wet and dry waste on a daily basis.

This is a big step for our organization as it is our first endeavor in terms of recycling wet and dry waste, especially on a scale this large. For this, we are also collaborating with the KMR Foundation.
